As a CT Technologist at CompuRay Medical, you will have the opportunity to work 8-hour weekend shifts. The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses GE BCT 64 slice computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.
Summary of Essential Duties:
· Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
· Administer contrast material
· Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
· Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
· Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
· Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
· Follow infection control and safety guidelines
Education:
· Graduate of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology program required
License/Certifications:
· American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) required
· Illinois Radiologic Technologist certification required
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
Experience:
· A minimum of 1 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist required
· At least 6 months of experience with GE brand scanners required
