We are seeking a dynamic MRI Technologist for a contract assignment to join our clients research team and assist in the day-to-day operation of the MRI imaging, which includes a Philips 3T Achieva and Philips 3T Ingenia. The role will be to support all activities relating to Imaging and Experimental Medicine Studies.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate must be registered with the ARRT (MR) Certified and have a relevant MRI qualification.
Specific Experience Required:
Experience in MRI scanning is essential
Experience in carrying out research MRI scans would be advantageous but training is required.
Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to be accurate and a team player.
Ideally have a working knowledge of the research environment. The contracted working hours are 40-30 hours per week and we seek candidates who have the flexibility to work the hours required to meet operational needs.
Equipment: Philips 3T Ingenia and Philips 3T Achieva.
·Date/Time Requested: Hours between 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. The entire shift, or entire week is not necessarily required No weekends. No holidays. Lead Tech will be present during most of these days, so you will not be alone during your shifts.
·Job Details: Most of the job will be done on the Philips 3T Achieva performing neuro exams. (Brain and spines) No IV skills required for those exams. Most of the patient prep/patient education is done by the research team accompanying the patient. On the Philips 3T Ingenia, we perform mostly Breast, Body, and Prostate exams. IV’s are required and placed by the techs for these cases. If you need assistance with IV’s, no problem! EPIC experience is a plus, but not required. No inpatients, pediatric cases very rare, no anesthesia/sedation, no ambulance/vented/nursing home patients.
